Healthy Paint Brushes

How to Clean Your Paint Brushes
Cleaning your paint brushes properly will keep them healthy and give them a long life.

Acrylic paint dries to a hard plastic.
It is very important to keep your brushes in water while working on a painting project.
When your project is completed, always wash your brushes thoroughly with soap and water.

This video demonstrates how to clean acrylic paint out of your brushes.

Foil Fish Fun!!

Foil Relief Fish by Ava
Foil Relief Fish by Victoria
Foil Relief Fish by Cody
This fun project uses discarded cardboard  (backs of writing tablets, cereal boxes and old folders), string, aluminum foil and black acrylic paint.

1. Cut out the shapes, glue them on top of one another.
2. Glue down string for lines on fins and tail.
3. Then glue foil over the whole thing.
 4. You can etch in bubbles, seaweed, smaller fish and sea creatures with an ink pen.
5. Paint the whole thing with black acrylic paint then wipe of with paper towels, leaving black paint in the folds and along edges.

You can also create butterflies, turtles and flowers.

These great fish were created by students at eLearningK12 in Thibodaux, Louisiana.
